Dr. Penny Papageorgopoulou is a computer scientist, visual artist and new media scholar. In 2024, she received her PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In 2015, she received her MSc. in Digital Communication Media and Interactive Environments from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In 2008, she received her BSc. in Telecommunications Science and Technology from the University of Peloponnese. She is a member of Spatial Media Research Group. Her scientific interests include embodied computing, the broader field of human-computer interaction, as well as the design, development, and evaluation of immersive systems.
