The report underscores the need for transparent hiring and funding procedures, gender-sensitive education and media representation, and structural reforms to funding, legislation, and institutional culture. It also stresses the importance of collecting disaggregated data, promoting intersectionality, and developing monitoring mechanisms to ensure long-term impact. Rooted in the belief that cultural diversity and gender equality are interlinked, the document calls for cultural policy frameworks that embrace inclusivity and equity. Reflecting a diverse range of experiences and disciplines, the report does not aim to be exhaustive but rather to act as a catalyst for systemic change, laying the groundwork for concrete gender-transformative actions at the European level and beyond.
